Spencer Davidson

Portfolio Manager
Spencer joined General American Investors Company, Inc. in 1994 as a Senior Investment Counselor and was elected to his current positions in August of 1995, named a Director of the Company in September 1995 and elected Chairman of the Board of Directors in April 2007.
Spencer began his Wall Street career at Brown Brothers Harriman in 1966. He worked at Beck, Mack & Oliver (1972-86) where he became a General Partner and at Odyssey Partners (1986-89) where he served as a Fund Manager. He has served as a Director of Medicis Pharmaceutical Corporation, Phoenix, Arizona since 1999. Spencer’s eleemosynary interests include the Innisfree Foundation, Inc., Millbrook, New York, for which he has served as a Trustee since 1986, and the Neuroscience Research Foundation, Inc., San Diego, California, for which he has served as a Trustee since 1992. Spencer is a graduate of City College and received his M.B.A. degree in Finance from Columbia University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a Certified Investment Counselor.



Andrew V. Vindigni, CFA

Andrew joined General American Investors Company in 1988, became Assistant Vice-President in 1991, Vice-President in 1995, and named Senior Vice President in 2006. Prior to joining the Company, Andrew spent 2 years as a security analyst at E. F. Hutton and then joined Mandrakos Capital Management for 2 years as a security analyst and portfolio manager. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts. Andrew has an M.B.A. in Finance from New York University and is a graduate of St Francis College.

Jesse Stuart, CFA

Analyst with general industry responsibilities
Jesse joined General American Investors Company in March 2003. He began his investment career at Scudder, Stevens and Clark (now a subsidiary of Deutsche Bank) in 1996 where he was an equity analyst and portfolio manager. Previously, as a strategy consultant employed by Mars & Co. and Mercer Consulting, he advised large corporations on competitive positioning and industry best practices. Jesse graduated from Brown University where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Sally A. Lynch, Ph.D.

Analyst coverage of the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries
Sally came to General American Investors Company in 1997. Prior to joining the Company, from 1988-1994, she was a postdoctoral fellow and research assistant at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and, from 1991-1997, she served as a technical consultant to investment management organizations in the areas of biotechnology and medical devices. Educational programs included 7 years of research projects and studies at the School of Medicine, SUNY – Stony Brook. She is a graduate of State University of New York at Stony Brook and received a Ph.D. in Molecular Microbiology SUNY – Stony Brook.

Michael W. Robinson

Analyst with general industry responsibilities
Michael joined General American Investors Company in April 2006. He began his investment career at J.P. Morgan & Company in 1994 where he was an investment banker and rose to become a Vice-President in their private equity group, J.P. Morgan Capital. Subsequently, he was a General Partner in a communications and media-focused private equity firm that he co-founded and a Senior Equity Analyst in a long/short hedge fund. Michael has served as a director or observer on 8 Boards of Directors and helped found 6 companies. Michael graduated from Trinity College, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, with a B.A. in Economics and a minor in Mathematics.

Jutirath (Ming) Chirawatpongsa

Analyst with general industry responsibilities
Ming joined General American Investors Company in April 2008. She began her investment career at J.P. Morgan Securities as a financial analyst specializing in the consumer and healthcare industries. Subsequently, Ming transitioned to a company in the commercial real estate business ultimately rising to the level of General Manager. Ming has a B.B.A., graduating with high distinction, from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Harold J. Kingsberg

Analyst coverage of the retail trade industry
Prior to becoming a consultant in 1996, Reg had been an executive vice-president of General American Investors Company since January 1978 and, prior thereto, a vice president from the time he joined the company in 1963. He spent 10 years as a security analyst and officer of Central National Corporation, a privately owned pulp and paper broker and investment company. He has an M.B.A. from Harvard University and is a graduate of Harvard College.



Peter P. Donnelly

Securities Trader
Peter has been the securities trader for General American Investors Company since 1974. He became Assistant Vice-President in January 1984 and Vice-President in January 1991. Prior to joining the Company, Peter worked as a securities trader at Manufacturers Hanover Trust Co. and at Wertheim & Co. He served in the U. S. Army stationed in Germany for two years. He is a member of the National Organization of Investment Professionals and a member of the Security Traders Association. He received a B.S. in Finance from Bernard M. Baruch College (CUNY).



Eugene S. Stark
Vice-President, Administration; Principal Financial Officer;
Chief Compliance Officer
Gene, a CPA, joined General American Investors Company in May 2005 and was appointed administrative and financial officer in July 2005 and chief compliance officer in January 2006. He served as a vice president of Prudential Financial, Inc. (1987-2004) with increasing responsibilities for accounting and financial management in the area of regulated investment products, including closed-end funds. Prior thereto, he gained diverse audit experience at Deloitte & Touche (1982-1987). During early 2005, he served as the chief financial officer of a business development company with investments in the energy industry. Gene is a member of the closed-end fund and chief compliance officer committees of the Investment Company Institute. He received a B.S. in Accounting, cum laude, from Rider University and an M.B.A. in Finance from Rutgers University.

Diane G. Radosti
Treasurer; Principal Accounting Officer
Accounting Operations
Diane, a CPA, is responsible for the corporate accounting and financial reporting of the Company. Prior to joining General American Investors Company in 1980, she spent 2 years at Paine Webber Jackson & Curtis Inc. as an assistant vice president and 4 years at Hurdman & Cranstoun as an auditor. She is a member of the accounting/treasurers committee of the Investment Company Institute. She received a B.S. in Accounting from Quinnipiac College located in Hamden, Connecticut.

Craig Grassi

Director of Information Technology
Since joining General American Investors Company in 1991, Craig has filled various administrative and technical positions with increasing responsibilities. He is a member of the compliance advisory committee of the Investment Company Insitute. He is a graduate of Franklin and Marshall College.

Carole Anne Clementi
Corporate Secretary
Office Management and Shareholder Relations
Carole Anne’s entire career has been with General American Investors Company. She is responsible for office management and shareholder relations. She became Assistant Secretary in 1993 and has been Corporate Secretary of the Company since 1994. Carole Anne is a member of the Society of Corporate Secretaries & Governance Professionals, the Society for Human Resource Management and the Human Resources Association of New York. She graduated magna cum laude and received a B.S. in Business Management from St. John’s University.

Maureen E. LoBello
Assistant Secretary
Benefits Administration
Maureen, who joined General American Investors Company in 1992, has had a variety of administrative responsibilities and is currently responsible for benefits administration. She is a member of the Human Resource Association of New York and the Society for Human Resource Management. Maureen is a summa cum laude graduate of the College of St. Elizabeth, Convent Station, NJ.
